About Me

You know how hard it is to….?

What’s your blank? What’s difficult for you?

You will not overcome your challenges the way you are. You must adjust. Change. Transform.

———————————-

I am thankful for the opportunity to transform. At different stages of my life, I have been unsatisfied, even disappointed, with who I had become. Maybe you can relate?

I am thankful for Jesus. I am thankful for salvation - salvation from an eternity apart from Him, and a purposeless existence here and now.

A relationship with Jesus is the first step to lasting personal transformation. He knows you better than yourself. He will guide you towards good paths.

About Me? Honestly, I'm just now starting to figure that out.

Join me.

FOUND: A Grace-Based Guide To Self-Discovery (Sept 2025)

———————————-

Here’s a little history “about me” for the curious. My background is in sociology, as a graduate of NC State University with an odd BS of Applied Sociology, which doesn’t even exist anymore as a degree.

My parents had convinced me that only a BS (Bachelor of Science), not a BA (Bachelor of Arts), was valuable as a degree. My declared degree as a freshman was Biochemistry (I wanted to find a cure for cancer), and my first three years of school were filled with Calculus and Advanced Sciences.

When I took Sociology of Medicine to help determine if med school was a good fit for me (it wasn’t), I was hooked. I loved learning about people and studying groups of people. It was a school of thought I had not been exposed to, and I loved it.

Children were, and are, my passion. Everyone faces challenges in childhood, and I was no different. I was equipped, even as a young adult, with the knowledge and ability to assist those younger than me in walking a fruitful path.

I learned how unseen children feel. Unheard. Powerless. Those are scary feelings. Feelings that prevent you from becoming who you were intended to become. They become barriers that you must actively break down to move forward and grow. That’s what the book FOUND: A Grace-Based Guide To Self-Discovery is about.

The book contains the I.A.M. Self-Discovery Tool, which walks through the process of breaking down the barriers of not knowing or understanding yourself well. It allows you to create and discover the best part of who you are, and in the process, why you are here.

If you stay long enough, you’ll hear about God, His Son (Jesus), His Spirit, and His redemptive plan to make all things right again. It’s a great story. Start with Isaiah 6 in the Bible.

When you read Isaiah 6, ask yourself these questions:

  1. What did Isaiah need?

  2. After Isaiah received what he needed, what did he hear?

  3. How did Isaiah respond to God?

  4. What did God do to equip Isaiah for his task?

  5. What is God saying to you?

  6. How do you need to respond to Him?

  7. Why wait?
